The 20th Annual Charlottesville Veg Fest
The 20th Annual Charlottesville Veg Fest is happening on Saturday, September 24th! (www.cvillevegfest.org) And of course Voices for Animals (our parent organization) will be tabling – with a table for HOWS and a table for the CCP (Community Cat Project). It’s in a new location this year – the IX building downtown. It is always an awesome event.

HOWS and the CCP will be looking for volunteers to table for us, 2 folks at a time, in 3 hour shifts. The doors open at 11am, so we’ll need to set up at 9:30am. The event normally runs until 5pm… but this year it goes until 9pm… Not sure if we will table for the full day, but at this point we are definitely looking for help from 9:30am to 5:30pm (and maybe later…). Please let us know if you are interested.

1st Annual Voices for Animals Party - Sunday, June 26
It’s the 1st Annual Voices for Animals Party (formally the Annual HOWS Party): Sunday, June 26, from 1:30 to 4:00pm. Held at Shelter #2 in Pen Park, Charlottesville.

Who’s Invited: You are! Anyone who likes (or loves) the HOWS Project, the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project, or all of Voices for Animals (VFA) should attend.

This party is not a fundraiser… it’s a time for our fans to gather, meet and learn more about each other! This whole thing started when a few HOWS volunteers realized how cool each other was and wanted to get to know each other and other VFA people better. It’s a picnic among animal loving friends who know and love VFA. Mind you – you don’t have to be a volunteer or monetary supporter! This is about Voices’ support from the heart!

What Should You Bring? Bring yourself! And you are welcome to bring a friendly dog and/or guest! We will supply refreshments. Food will be vegan potluck style – meaning bring something vegan to share!

Please RSVP for yourself and guests (human or canine). Also, let me know your food contribution (or if you have questions about what you can bring) so I can ensure we don’t end up with 25 potato salads and 40 plates of brownies!
